I'd recommend the classic HomePod, then possibly use the mini as a filler via airplay2. (If your Mac is recent). If you use video editing apps instead, you can go into settings and divert the computer's output sound to Homepod. I use Airfoil to run a mixed system, 4 HomePods and 2 Naim.
