- 2 different channels can be recorded at the same time. One of them can then also be watched, but not a third.
- Timeshift works regardless of whether it is encrypted or not. Simply press the red record button and the channel is recorded; the picture remains there; afterwards press the play button and the programme is rewound from where timeshift was activated. The recording continues endlessly. When you switch off, you are asked what to do with the recording (discard or save).
Hello
According to the TechniSat manual, yes.
"Your device offers you access to the Internet via an existing broadband connection.
Internet. To do this, the receiver must be connected to the home network/DSL router either via LAN or WLAN.
home network/DSL router."
Kind regards
Hello. Unfortunately, I can't answer that. I don't have anything in the device. Go to www.technisat.de. You might get some help there. Sincerely yours. Mr. A. Honegger
Since I use this part as a box for cable TV, I unfortunately have no idea whether it works with a Viaacces.
I have inserted a decoding card directly and activated Teleclub with the CI module.
Unfortunately, we do not know exactly what DigitAlb requires or whether their cards are permanently coupled with a module or a receiver box. If only Conax is required, the receiver is compatible because it has a Conax smartcard reader.
The SAT access card works perfectly. I bought the device because I had to replace an old receiver that was not yet HD-capable. The Swiss channels run in HD without any problems.
A SAT access card is only required for reception via satellite (DVB-S). It can be purchased here: https://www.broadcast.ch/de/fernsehen/satellit-dvb-s/#sat-access-karte. TV via cable (DVB-C) can be received without a card. If you want to receive encrypted, fee-paying programmes via SAT or Internet, you must obtain a corresponding card from the programme provider. It is not possible to install an HD card (Technisat predecessor versions can). Recorded programmes can, however, be stored on a USB disc to be connected (not included).
Answer from a super satisfied, long-time Technisat DIGIT ISIO STC user.
Remote control:
- the remote control works via IR
- my Technisat is covered, so I use the 'Marmitek IR 100 USB - USB Powered IR Extender'.
- with the Technisat App the receiver can be controlled via WLAN
- with the same app I can also programme the receiver outside the house (via a Technisat account)
EPG (at Technisat this is called SFI - Sieh Fern Info):
- is not always exactly the same, but typically 1 week in advance from SFI
- a recording can also be programmed well in advance without SFI (channel, date, start and end time)
My favourite features:
- DVB-S and DVB-C
- Recordings are stored unencrypted in .TS4 format. They can be converted to .mp4 on a computer, for example.
- Playback of pictures and videos from NAS via UPnP
- SFI (EPG) viewing via app even when away from home and programming recordings
Yes, you can insert the Viaccess module with the SRG card via the CI slot and it works. You can receive the other German channels normally without a card as long as they are not encrypted. Most German broadcasters deliver their programmes without encryption; practically all the broadcasters that show the rogram in the TV programme booklets (e.g. TV-Movie), e.g. ARD, ZDF, kabel eins RTL, Vox, SAT1, etc. Unfortunately, I cannot give an answer for the encrypted channels. There is another slot into which you can insert a card. But I don't need it, because I don't need encrypted channels - the selection is huge even without these pay channels.
