These cables are not intended to be used as line cables or for direct mains connection of equipment. They are halogen-free multi-pair cables with overall shielding. The sheath is made of halogen-free polyolefin, which is flame retardant to BS 4066 and IEC 332 Part 3, and emits only small amounts of smoke when burnt. The conductors are made of 7/0.25 mm (22 AWG) tinned stranded copper, with polyolefin insulation and twisted into color-coded pairs.
