Absolutely recommendable for people interested in sports in all areas.

Excellent multisport and smart watch, very good price/performance ratio. Design so that you can actually wear the watch all the time.

I recommend (for the not too high level sportsman) it is a really more accessible alternative to the fenix.

Great watch, it gives a boost of motivation to go running even better than I thought.

    Pro

    • Beautiful design
    • Autonomy really good
    • Garmin connect provides lots of details
    • Top gps tracking
    • Vibrating wrist alarm clock

    Contra

    • Super random when it comes to bluetooth pairing (it always ends up working)
    • The estimation of the Vo2 max is strange (depends a lot on the last run)

Top watch, software not yet fully developed,

The Vivoactive 3 would be moderately good hardware and does what it should. ( Sport and sleep recording )
Unfortunately, the software as of 14.10.2017 is anything but top, the software has too many bugs and is not mature.

Mails are not displayed at all.
Weather information is only available from Canada.
After the update, the German language is suddenly no longer available and has to be reinstalled manually, which is only possible with Garmin Express on the PC and not on the mobile phone.
If the many errors are corrected, I can recommend the watch.

    I would definitely buy again.

It's unbelievable what possibilities this little thing has. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but it's still a lot of fun to use it. I'm always amazed at what else is recorded.

Beautifully shaped, feature-rich watch with potential for improvement

Compared to my old vivoactive HR, most of the values on the vivoactive 3 are much easier to read. What has remained is the extremely capricious counting of the floors climbed. Sometimes they are counted, sometimes not or only partially.
The watch has a nice design. However, the silicone wristband that comes with it doesn't really suit it if you don't wear the watch exclusively when you do sports.

    Pro

    • Most values are easy to read
    • beautiful design

    Contra

    • Counts floors climbed at whim
    • Bracelet is of cheap quality

Fully satisfied so far, can really recommend the Vivoactiv 3. It is possible that a "professional" would like to see even more data, but I have enough for a good overview of my activities.

This is my first watch like this that I have used. (I had to return a Fitbit ionic because it was impossible to synchronise it, I'd rather jog for hours than wait for the connection to work).
I've been using this watch for
14 days now and I'm very satisfied, you can hardly feel it when wearing it, the controls (buttons, direction) can be adjusted to suit your wearing habits. There is also a large selection of other dials.
I wear the Vivoactiv 3 24 hours a day (so far, except for showering, but it would be waterproof, only I don't need to have the soap in every crack). Further, I jog 2, to 3 times a week and the sleep records also interest me. This works to my complete satisfaction with the small exception that I had to lock the operation because my slightly damp sleeve adjusted the watch !!!
Battery life approx. 3-4 days with 2 jogging activities with GPS of approx. 1 hour 30 minutes each (I did not record the times meticulously).
Tests on cycling and swimming are still pending.

    Pro

    • Looks good, not too clunky, even on a relatively slim (man's) arm
    • is easy
    • Good readability during activity (only tested while running so far), otherwise need reading glasses 2.0
    • Motivational messages when goals are achieved

    Contra

    • Touch screen also reacts to other than fingers (e.g. slightly damp sleeve)
