Almost perfect PS5/PC gaming headset; slightly too expensive for performance

Nearly checks all the boxes for a perfect console gaming headset, but a few caveats and the high price makes it less than perfect.

The two main reasons I bought this headset was dual audio and active noise canceling. And
it does both quite well.

Sounds is clear, rich and balanced. Never felt bass or treble were too high or low. Playing God of War, sounds and voices seemed to accurately come from the right direction, good immersion. Playing Apex Legends, audio cues were clear and accurate, I could hear which directions enemies were easily. Maybe this headset isn’t “competitive” level but I think most FPS players will be happy.

Isolation from the ear cups and the ANC are quite good. Not as good as the Bose QC35 or Sony XM1000 series but almost. Helps a lot when playing games like Apex in an apartment on a noise street and with a barking dog.

Headset is quite light and comfortable. Can be worn for long gaming sessions, but leather ear cups and isolation might get too warm eventually.

Dual Audio works great! Super easy to connect my phone via Bluetooth and stream in a second audio source. I played Apex Legends online cross-play (me on PS4, friend on PC) and used Discord on my phone for chat audio with almost no delay/latency. My friend said my voice was clear and a good volume, he couldn’t hear background noise or popping. I could even play Spotify at the same time, so I had game audio, chat and music all streaming into the headset seamlessly.

I don’t have a PC so I can’t say anything about the software to customize the EQ. Hopefully they make a Max version soon. What is weird is there is no way to change EQ settings for this headset on a PS5, even though this is clearly a Sony headset made FOR playing with a PS5.

Occasionally there was distortion/compression issues with the game audio for a split second but not enough to ruin the experience.

For my needs, the price was justified but I think it’s probably too expensive for most people.
