The ABB power contactor is a compact and versatile solution for controlling power circuits, capable of switching motors as well as lightly inductive or non-inductive loads. The AF116 to AF750 series offers a wide range of control options with just four coils, covering control voltages from 20 to 500 VDC and 24 to 500 VAC. This flexibility allows for use in various applications worldwide without the need for additional extinguishing components. Models AF116 to AF370 are also available in versions that can be directly controlled by a PLC, while from AF400 onwards, a PLC input is integrated as standard. Additionally, up to two 2-pole auxiliary contacts can be mounted to expand functionality. The auxiliary normally open contacts are designed as mirror contacts according to IEC60947-5-1 Annex L, which enhances the reliability and safety of the application.
