The RCD Block (RCU) is designed for customer-side installation with circuit breakers of the S200 series. The resulting RCD/MCB combinations (RCBOs) provide protection for persons and property, as well as protection against electrically ignited fires in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-410 and DIN VDE 0100-530. They ensure protection for 1P+N, 2P, 3P, 3P+N, or 4P circuits against overload and short-circuit currents, protection for sinusoidal alternating currents and pulsating currents with a smooth DC fault current component of up to 6 mA to ground. Additionally, they offer fault protection (protection against indirect contact), supplementary protection (with I?n = 30 mA), and fire protection (with I?n = 300 mA). They comply with the product standard IEC/EN 61009 Annex G. Areas of application include household, commercial, and industrial uses.
