The ACR39U-UF Smart Card Reader is one of ACS's modern products that focuses on the development of USB standards. This palm-sized reader features a USB Type-C connector that offers a reversible plug orientation and cable direction, allowing for a more adaptable product design for future smart card applications.

The ACR39U-UF uses the same core as the ACR39U series. It supports ISO 7816 smart cards and various memory cards, as well as microprocessor cards with T = 0 and T = 1 protocols. Unlike older USB cables, it does not matter which side the Type-C connector is on; you can insert it in either direction. It complies with PC/SC and CCID standards, ensuring that the device remains compatible with current applications according to USB specifications. The ACR39U Smart Card Reader can be easily integrated into both computer and mobile device environments. The drivers are compatible with operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, Linux, and Mac OS. Additionally, the ACR39U-UF can be used on mobile devices running Android versions 3.1 and higher.
