Product details

Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt is a multi-channel audio interface for Macs equipped with Thunderbolt. Designed for both home and professional studios using Logic Pro X or any other natively supported DAW, this system offers four different base configurations with the option for up to 32 simultaneously usable inputs and outputs per unit at the lowest latencies.

Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt harnesses the full potential of the Thunderbolt 2 connection with the lowest latency, unparalleled CPU efficiency, and two ports for connecting additional peripherals.

The Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt is built on Apogee's proprietary Thunderbolt driver, which has been completely rewritten to be even more efficient and powerful. When using Logic Pro X, latency has been reduced to an astonishing 1.35 ms round-trip, allowing you to monitor with your DAW, including your plug-ins. This simplifies your workflow and conserves your Mac's CPU.

To accommodate different working environments, the Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt features optional hardware monitoring thanks to Apogee's Maestro 2 app with 0.6 ms latency.

The dedicated driver of the Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt includes a revolutionary Direct Memory Access (DMA) engine to read and write more data more effectively, regardless of your Mac's CPU.

The DMA engine, which operates on the hardware chip of the Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt, enhances driver efficiency and provides the highest possible signal resolution at the DAC stage. This allows the driver to process a tremendous amount of data at incredible speeds while using minimal Mac CPU resources. The result is lower latency, more plug-in power, and a transparent and comprehensive listening experience.
