The CL5808 is a control unit in a retractable dual-rail slideaway housing with an LCD screen, allowing multiple computers to be managed from two PS/2 or USB KVM consoles. An additional console port is located on the back of the device, enabling optional control of the LCD KVM switch from an external console.

The 19-inch LCD monitor with LED backlighting and the keyboard module with touchpad of the CL5808 can be pulled out independently from the rack. To create more space in the data center, the keyboard module with touchpad can be pushed in while the slim LCD screen remains extended and flat against the rack for monitoring the computers – allowing for easy observation of computer activity.
