Austrian Audio is a company founded by former AKG designers with the ambitious goal of bringing high-quality audio technology back to Austria, specifically to the capital, Vienna. The new Austrian Audio HI-X65 is a lightweight, open-back over-ear headphone designed to deliver excellent performance, particularly for mixing and mastering needs. The open design provides a clear stereo image and an uncolored, powerful bass response. The soft, form-fitting ear pads ensure comfort even during long sessions. The 44 mm long-stroke driver has an extremely low total distortion, even in the bass range, and the headphone's frequency response extends very deep from 5 Hertz to an impressive 28 kilohertz. Metallic hinges and a metal headband ensure durability, and the cable is detachable and replaceable.
