With the OD5, Austrian Audio introduces an active-dynamic microphone optimized for use with instruments.

Handcrafted in Vienna and subjected to strict quality assurance processes, the OD5 instrument microphone offers several unique features.

The most striking is the "Swivel Joint" mechanism. To facilitate the positioning of the instrument microphone, Austrian Audio's engineers have developed a suspension for the microphone basket that allows for a 220° rotation. This enables the microphone to be precisely oriented towards the sound source without the need to awkwardly adjust the microphone stand.

As a highly versatile instrument microphone, the OD5 is suitable for many applications. It is excellent for use with various drums and also works exceptionally well with guitar amplifiers and in front of brass instruments due to its technical characteristics.
