It features two switchable insert paths, allowing for a variety of configurations between input and output signals and the inserted effect devices. For example: switching a guitar to up to three different amplifiers, switching up to three guitars to one amplifier, switching from the original signal to the effects wired in the LS-2 loop, switching between the two loops of the LS-2, and a multitude of other switching options.
