Product details
The RF 50mm F1.4 L VCM is a professional lens from the L series and part of Canon's hybrid lens range, which is optimised for both photo and video recording. The focal length of 50mm offers a natural full-frame perspective for photography. Filmmakers will appreciate the minimised focus breathing and the separate aperture ring, which allows smooth manual control. The 11-blade iris diaphragm ensures beautiful circular highlights and the typical cinema look. Thanks to the high speed of 1:1.4, you can take bright pictures even in low light and creatively control the depth of field. The RF 50mm F1.4 L VCM delivers exceptional detail and is ideal for portrait and cinematic video shots thanks to its natural perspective.
Two aspherical and one UD lens as well as Super Spectra and ASC coatings ensure outstanding, clear image quality. A fast Nano USM in combination with the even faster VCM technology (Voice Coil Motor) ensures fast and precise focussing - for both photo and video recordings. Thanks to the L-series design with high-quality lenses, the lens can also be used in difficult conditions. The fluorine coating prevents dirt from sticking to the front lens, while a special lens control ring and a configurable lens function button enable customised control. This makes you more agile when shooting. The RF 50mm F1.4 L VCM is around 40 per cent lighter than the RF 50mm F1.2 L USM and, as part of the hybrid fixed focal length series, is ideal for quickly changing lenses in a video rig.
