Obwohl die Texte auf dem Bildschirm nur in Englisch sind, gelingt die Steuerung des Receivers recht einfach, zumal auch die Fernbedienung gelungen ist. Der Klang im Stereobetrieb überzeugt ebenso, wenn auch die fehlenden Netzwerk- und Multimediafunktionen Punktabzüge bedeuten.
Die Konfiguration des Denon AV-Receivers gelingt schnell und einfach. Der AVR-1513 punktet hierbei durch seine guten Klangqualitäten, die gerade im Stereobetrieb zum Vorschein kommen. Leider muss der Anwender hier auf Netzwerkfunktionen oder auch einen USB-Anschluss verzichten.
