The motor protection relay BA9038.11 is designed to prevent thermal motor overloads, for example, due to high switching frequency, heavy starting, single-phase operation, obstructed cooling, or high ambient temperature. Special NTC thermistors (PTC resistors) designed for motor protection should be used as temperature sensors. Up to 6 sensors can be connected in series, which will drop out when a fixed resistance value of the output relay is reached. An LED will light up. The motor protection relay operates on the principle of holding current and monitors itself for wire breakage. It should be noted that when the power supply is turned on, the phase voltage is briefly present at terminals 12 and 22 until the output relay is activated.
