Utilisation categories include AC-1 for non-inductive or weakly inductive loads and resistance furnaces, AC-3 for squirrel cage motors (starting and switching off while running), and AC-4 for squirrel cage motors (starting, counter-current braking, reversing, inching). Connection technology features screw terminals. This device is also suitable for motors of efficiency class IE3, with IE3-capable devices labelled on the packaging.

Description: The auxiliary switch module is permanently connected to the basic device (manual operation not possible). Rated operating current for AC-3 at 380 V and 400 V is Ie = 9 A. The rated operating current for AC-1 conventional thermal current is 3-pole, 50 - 60 Hz open at 40 °C: Ith = Ie = 22 A, encapsulated: Ith = 18 A. For 1-pole open, Ith = 50 A, encapsulated: Ith = 45 A.
