The EX-1331VIS USB 2.0 to Serial RS-232/422/485 in a plastic housing provides a serial RS-232, 422, or 485 high-performance UART 16C550 combo output with overvoltage protection and optical isolation. It is designed to add an additional serial output in a compact plastic case for desktop computers or laptops via the USB 2.0 bus. The simple installation means that the computer does not need to be opened, and the EX-1331VIS can be installed while the system is running. The included EX-K1552V cable with A connector to B connector can be attached to the EX-1331VIS using thumb screws, eliminating the need for a screwdriver. This ensures that the cable cannot come loose on its own. Optionally, the EX-1331VIS can be mounted on a DIN rail in a 48.30 cm (19") rack using the EX-6099 (DIN-Rail Kit).
