The third generation of the Eyb Megaswitch® is an evolution of the previous Eyb Megaswitch®. It is available in 5 variants and offers more switching options with easier handling. Many other details have also been significantly improved:

1. 20% less weight
2. All contacts are gold-plated, including the rotor contacts. This means better connectivity and a longer lifespan.
3. There is no need to keep specially made knobs on hand. All standard US knobs can be used (available in black, white, cream, ivory, gold, chrome, or as a Tele barrel knob).
4. The switch can no longer fall apart, as the central connection screw has been eliminated. This screw could loosen in the previous version or break if tightened too much.
5. The lever can no longer break, as steel sheet is used instead of cast iron.
6. More options with fewer variants and less soldering effort through the use of solder bridges. This significantly reduces the need for jumper wires.
7. The circuit boards have 2 holes per connection with a diameter of 1.5 mm. This greatly facilitates soldering work.
8. Thanks to the special mechanics, the lever engages more precisely and does not get stuck between positions.

Variant M with 24 connections still offers virtually unlimited possibilities. The terminals are now clearly labeled, A 1 - 5, B 1 - 5, C 1 - 5, and D 1 - 5. This makes the assignment of individual terminals clearer. They are now all located on one side of the circuit board and equipped with solder bridges to simplify connections between them, which is often necessary for this type. If the 24 terminals are not enough, a variant with 2 circuit boards and rotors is available.
