The Fujinon XF16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR is a fast and weather-resistant zoom lens designed for the X-series mirrorless system cameras. It covers a focal length range of 24-84mm (equivalent to full-frame) and is therefore versatile in its applications.

To achieve excellent image quality in this lens class, the fast standard zoom lens offers a constant aperture of F2.8 and consists of 17 elements in 12 groups, including three aspherical lenses and three ED lenses. The special HT-EBC coating developed by Fujinon and the Nano-GI coating also minimize surface reflections.

The XF16-55mm F2.8 R LM WR features nine aperture blades that create a nearly circular aperture, allowing for an outstanding, soft bokeh effect. The lens has an internal focusing system that uses a lightweight focus lens and a twin linear motor, enabling fast and quiet autofocus. The fastest autofocus speed of 0.06 seconds is achieved by the XF lens when paired with an X-series system camera that features phase detection autofocus. The XF16-55mm is sealed at 14 points, making it both splash and dust resistant.

The focus and aperture rings, as well as the lens body, are made of metal. The texture and torque of the control rings provide optimal handling, especially during manual focusing. The lens mount is made of brass, making it extremely durable.
