The WH-M1 is equipped with an On/Off switch that also serves as a mute button. A clearly readable OLED display shows channel/group settings, mute status, and battery life. A lock button prevents accidental changes to settings during operation.

The microphone offers two levels of RF transmission power: 40 mW to enhance signal quality over greater distances or 10 mW for maximum battery life when working in close range. The device operates for up to 8 hours with two AA batteries (not included).
