Honeywell has developed the Voyager Extreme Performance (XP) 1470g specifically for retail work environments. It captures all common 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as DotCodes and digital coupons from smartphones or tablets. It reliably and quickly scans even damaged or hard-to-read barcodes, saving a significant amount of time. Thanks to its extended scanning range, it can also securely capture inaccessible barcodes. The scanner has a motion tolerance of 70 cm/s and a scan angle of 39.2° horizontally and 27.4° vertically. The 2D scanner can withstand multiple drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters and is protected against the ingress of foreign objects up to 1 mm according to its IP40 certification. It ensures consistent performance with interfaces including USB, Keyboard Wedge (KBW), RS-232, and RS-485, with support for IBM 46XX. Another advantage is that it is fully backward compatible with existing Voyager accessories, significantly reducing overall operating costs as there are no additional expenses for optional accessories.
