This causes the housing to extend by up to 9 mm due to the stretching of the fold seam, thereby interrupting the supply line at the predetermined breaking point. The capacitor is safely disconnected from the power supply. Hydra capacitors are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute and comply with the safety class P2 requirements according to EN 60252. Installation: Hydra motor capacitors can be mounted vertically or horizontally. To ensure the proper triggering of the overpressure cut-off due to the thermal expansion of the capacitor housing, a minimum distance of approximately 12 mm from the connection to adjacent components must be observed.
