Product details
With the M5Stack QR Code Scanner Module 13.2, you can quickly turn your M5Core into a reliable 1D/2D barcode scanner. The module integrates a 640×480 CMOS engine and rapidly and accurately recognizes common 2D codes (QR, Data Matrix, PDF417) as well as numerous 1D formats. A slide switch allows you to choose between USB and UART interfaces—ideal for flexibly switching between PC operation and direct microcontroller connection. The USB interface offers Virtual COM, HID-Keyboard, and HID-POS modes, enabling you to use scans as either serial data or "keyboard inputs." For reliable scanning, a white illumination LED and a red target LED are integrated, along with a buzzer for acoustic feedback. Multiple trigger modes (Auto, Continuous, Motion Detection, Pulse) adapt to your workflow. Thanks to the wide-range input (9–24 V) and internal step-down, the module can be conveniently powered in stationary applications. Three Grove ports (PORT.A/B/C) simplify expansion and integration into your system. With compact dimensions and low weight, the module is ideal for smart kiosks, cash registers, manufacturing, and logistics. The robust design ensures reliable scanning even under changing lighting conditions. With HID keyboard output, you can scan directly into forms, cash register programs, or spreadsheets without additional software. The UART option provides maximum control in embedded projects.
