Once upon a time, there was a brave hero who fought against a fearsome dragon known as the cruel king. The hero emerged victorious from the battle. But instead of delivering the final blow to his opponent, the hero decided to cut off one of the dragon's horns and proclaimed, "You must atone for your sins!"

In the days that followed, the hero healed the dragon's wounds, and before they knew it, they became good friends.

One day, years later, the hero was mortally wounded. He asked his good friend to take care of his daughter and help her become a great heroine. The mighty beast gave him his word to grant this final wish.

From that moment on, he watched over Yuu and served as her protector and guide on her many adventures. However, these idyllic moments would not last forever, as the inevitable truth about the past of the cruel king draws ever closer, putting both the king and Yuu to a harsh test.
