The Palmer ilm Speaker Simulation DI Box eliminates all uncertainties of amp recording, such as microphone choice, acoustic environment, and positioning. With a sophisticated filter circuit that simulates the sound behavior of a speaker, it captures your sound authentically, without the need for a microphone. Its direct signal always sounds the same, whether at home, in a (home) studio, in a rehearsal room, or on stage, regardless of size.

The Palmer ilm offers three sound presets that represent typical guitar cabinet models. Flowery names are left to others; at Palmer ilm, they are simply called "normal," "mellow," and "bright." That way, everyone knows what is meant!

Typically, the Palmer ilm is inserted between the amp output and the speaker; however, it can also be used at the line out of the amplifier. For level adjustment, the ilm features a pad switch with three settings: 0, -15, and -30 dB.

To prevent unwanted noise when connecting to a mixing console or audio interface, the ilm is balanced via a transformer. The ground lift switch helps eliminate hum loops. You can always rely on the Palmer ilm—and focus entirely on what truly matters: your music and your instrument.
