I can't say, I used it for Beats and with a Microsoft Lumia 950. Everything worked, except the volume buttons had no function, probably because I had Windows Phone and not iOS on the phone.
I think it can ALSO be used with iOS, which is what I use it with. But also as headphones on a Windows device and as Skype headphones on a Windows laptop. I hope this will help you out.

Both cables fit the Solo2. This cable is for iPhone, 3230348 is for Android.
Hello The cable should also work with HTC devices. The play/pause button works, whether the volume buttons work depends on the device.
