I ordered and received the DT 990Pro here at Digitec in April 23 and the Y sign is visible. So I guess that's still the case.
I have the same, it works perfect, just put gain to High and it will work like a charm.
The headphones with 250 ohms are quite hungry and need proper hardware to be operated reasonably.
According to gamepro.de, 80 ohms is the maximum that the controller can handle.

If you use the headphones for gaming on the PC, I would recommend the Creative Sound BlasterX G6 (USB)... I also use them and they can even run at 600Ohm.
