What can the mobile phone do? Alarm clock? Telephony? Text messaging?

yes, yes, yes ;-) but of course writing is not as comfortable as on "conventional" smartphones. i've had it with me for a long time now as an "emergency mobile phone" and it's just great for that, because it's very small and light.

More of a hint than a question: According to the specifications on the manufacturer's page, the Cyrus only supports 2G, not 3G yet. However, according to Swisscom announcements, 2G will no longer be supported from 2020.
