Hello, This charger was the right one on my 5410, it should also be good for the 5310. I have had bad experiences with usb charging, less stable and blocks the only displayport that outputs the best signal for external displays. The usb charge is in my opinion on this laptop only a troubleshooting solution (latitude 5410) I hope I have helped :)
