The monitor is currently available on the Dell Switzerland shop page. There it even costs only CHF 1,003. I also prefer to buy from Digitec, because of services & co... but you can't go wrong ordering directly from the manufacturer.

The bars are there to maintain the ratio in relation to the connected device. So you can normally change this directly from the display settings for that device.

I have had the monitor for half a year now and play with it, but I also work with it about 3 to 4 days a week. So far, I haven't experienced any burn-in or blurred text. I'm very satisfied so far. QLED is a dream for gaming and the size is a dream for working. Moreover, the Alienware warranty also applies to burn-in.

I bought the screen 2 weeks ago, mine has M0B202 firmware. It is impossible to get a firmware update for the screen, so you have to hope that the firmware works without any defects. It's a bit of a stretch for a screen of this price and released in 2022...

The full 10bit at HDR, at a resolution of 3440 × 1440 and 175Hz would be possible via the DisplayPort 1.4 connector. Dell specifies this as follows: DisplayPort: 3440 x 1440 at 175 Hz HDMI: 3440 x 1440 at 100 Hz You are welcome to specify the SAMSUNG Odyssey G8 here: Samsung Odyssey G8
