Yes, there are two display port outputs (for 4K connections) you can also use DVI (DVI 1.0 provides resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 at 60 Hz). After that it will depend on the power of your computer's graphics card. :)
No, the connection cable does not fit. See picture 5 for the HP G2.
I can answer the question myself in the meantime: Yes, the combo cable of the 230 W version fits into the Envy 15 and everything works tiptop.
Yes, unscrew the cover at the bottom and change the cable, but beware of the Thunderbolt and not the USB-C cable. I also did it that way. Possibly loss of warranty?
The cable is an inseparable combination with Thunderbold USB C and the power supply for the laptop (this must have both plugs next to each other, otherwise the cable will not fit) - but the cable can also be replaced itself (unscrew the lid and plug in another cable).
Hello, you have bought the wrong version. The G2 Station is available in a 230W and 120W version. The 230W comes with the combo cable which is for HP notebooks. The 120W version is with USB-C version (without the power connector for HP notebooks). Unfortunately, this is not really visible here at Digitec. In my opinion, the cable is already replaceable if you open the station with the lower screw - but then you still need a suitable USB-C cable that can transfer power and data reasonably (USB-C is currently a brutal mess as far as that goes...). I wouldn't try that, though, and just replace the station with the correct one.
The Surface is not listed on the manufacturer's website, so it may indeed not be compatible: https://store.hp.com/GermanyStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=2UK38AA&opt=ABB&sel=ACC
According to our information, the docking stations have more or less the same connections. The product images are for illustrative purposes and are provided by the manufacturers and suppliers. However, the specifications can be assumed in each case.
There are 2 versions, the difference is in the connection cable. For this model, the list must be observed. With the other model, which has a separable connection cable, this works perfectly, the important thing is the Thunderbolt 3 connection. I myself use it with the 17 inch version of the Omen. Keyboard, mouse, 2 monitors, LAN and an active USB 3.0 hub (7x). Audio is via Bluetooth. In case of errors, simply update the Nvidia driver (this is the case with most Omens).
There are 2 different models, sent this one back as the plugs are not separable. However, the 100W version should be enough for the pavilion, so the device would be charged via Thunderbolt. It is cheaper. My HP Omen needs the additional connector because it needs 230W to charge.
Ciao Mariuszb, I can't say whether that works either. But it works perfectly with the HP Elitebook and HP Pavilion via USB-C. Greetings Martin
Hello The problem is more that I have the docking station at several customers and it does not always run cleanly, i.e. Lan or picture does not work reliably despite all updates. In CAD circles, the laptop is often connected directly to everything and the USB-C plug and power plug on the laptop must be next to each other because the docking with both connections goes to the laptop with one cable and that doesn't look like that to me in the pictures.
Difference: I've asked myself the same question... but I don't see any except in the price. Cable: Yes, a combination cable is included. Attention: We had some problems with the firmware. You absolutely have to update it, otherwise the things buck...
