Rather less. Does your laptop have a sidedock connection? If not, you will need a USB docking station

The docking comes with the corresponding charger. Is included!
I would say that this power supply should work -> HP AC Adapter (90W) But you would have to check briefly how many watts your current one needs.
Normally, the compatibilities are described quite well on the HP webpage; but mine will be free soon. You can also try it out in Zurich. 079 603 40 56.

I am using the docking station with an HP Elitebook 1040 G1 from 2015 and have two
2560 x 1440 monitors which both display their maximum resolution. I don't know what it would be like with UHD.

Very unlikely, the interface is completely different.
We are currently upgrading to HP G2 (DisplayPort, VGA, 230W, Thunderbolt, USB Type C, USB A).
But you can also connect the older notebooks to the USB-C dock if the required resolution is not too high; we have problems with the 840G5 at 5210 x 1440.

This sits below the notebook and clicks into it. It does not work on all HP notebooks - so be careful there. It is neat in the once it is on the desk, nothing can take that space so the notebook will (almost) always have a place to go if the desk gets a bit untidy! This version has 2 x Display Ports, although these days I think HDMI might be better. Transfer cables are easy to purchase.
As for the price - I cannot answer for digitec, except they give me a good service! I have spent > CHF50k with them last year without any problems, and when there was one, they replaced the machine with no questions asked or forms to fill in.

Yes, this docking is compatible with the HP 840 G3, G3, G5 and G6.

We still have a series of 1040G3s with the docking station. After that we had to switch to the 840 G5/G5 because the 1040s from G4 onwards no longer have a port for the docking. The next generation is now the x360 1040G7, for which we are switching to USB-C dock.

Hello everyone, I have now found my laptop in the "Suitable devices" list. HP EliteBook 840 G5 notebook PC, basic model (2FA68AV). Thanks anyway, for thinking along ;-)
I don't know. It fits most HP laptops that have the docking dongle on the right side.

No, this docking does not fit. This docking is only for devices with a sidedock connection (as far as I know, these are no longer produced today). The new HP devices all work with a USB C docking station.

I can't find the Probook 440.
However, if I have overlooked it somewhere else, you should report incorrect information at the foot of the "Specifications" via the link shown there.
No, this device is not compatible with it. It needs HP's own docking port and that is missing on the 430.
You would probably have to look at the notebook accessories, I ordered the dock together with the notebook and both use the same plug/power supply.
It is possible that the docking station has an old firmware. The current firmware should be 2.33 or higher. A google search for "ultraslim doch firmware" will quickly give you a green light.
If you have the connection on the right side, it is clear and according to the secs: Ports: 1 docking connector is available. So have fun with it (use the 5G and love it).
