it only has one aux plug, so you can only connect the microphone to the controller and would not have any sound.

Helpful answer
Yes, in principle you can use any microphone. Of course there are special microphones for music, which are certainly better, but they are also much more expensive.

According to the specifications, the Mik has two audio outputs; one XLR and one 3.5mm jack. If your mobile phone has a Mik-Jack input, yes. But bear in mind that you may need an adapter for this...

Yes, you need 48V phantom power for the microphone. Can be realised by an injector, audio interface or even a mixer.

Maybe you need an adapter, e.g. a USB sound card. Is the microphone recognised? You may have to activate it and deactivate the MacBook.

It may work if you connect it with a 3.5mm jack to XLR cable. However, this is a condenser microphone. Such microphones should be supplied with phantom power (48V). Otherwise it will either not work, or work worse. Then you can just as well use your mobile phone microphone. My tip: If you invest in a large-diaphragm microphone, buy an audio interface with which you can get phantom power via an XLR cable. There are good and cheap devices from Behringer (I think they are called U2). You can then connect the interface to the computer via USB.

Hello, the cable that comes with the microphone is, in my opinion, an absolute joke. It suggests that you can connect the microphone directly to a computer or laptop. However, you actually need phantom power to use the microphone. There are some devices that you can connect between the microphone and the microphone input, e.g.: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/img-stage-line-ema-3-phantomspeisegeraet-microphone-accessories-5340401. Or you can buy an audio interface, such as: ESI U22 XT (USB)
