With the spider of the TC 777, this is probably unfavourable. A spider would have to be found that fits on the thread. The suspension restricts the mobility of the arm. I would rather use another arm.

I use it with an Hyper X Quad S and it holds precisely where I want the microphone.
You can adjust the stiffness (if that makes sense) of each of the arms section.
If you move it quite a lot like I do, every now and then you'll have to turn to tighten the "screws" between sections but it ain't a big deal.

The spider should have the screw adapter. I am not sure if the arm has one.
The question is how heavy your mic is. And whether it can bear the weight without problems in the long term in one position.
I can't say what it's like with a heavy mic as mine is under 1kg.
Experience so far: Weight can be held well, but you have to tighten the screw every now and then because it loosens slightly when moving up and down, which is normal for this type of construction.
