Yes, you can use Internet radio via the device, as it supports WLAN and is explicitly designed for Internet radio. Unfortunately, normal audio CDs do not work, only MP3 CDs are supported.

The device cannot be connected directly to a SONOS Box via WLAN, as it does not offer native Sonos compatibility or multi-room function. It supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for streaming, but direct connection or control with Sonos speakers via Wi-Fi is not provided. Sonos systems use their own multiroom network and require compatible devices or the Sonos app for control, which is not the case with this radio.

In my experience (I have been diagnosed with a slight hearing impairment), the device offers very good speech intelligibility. I would therefore buy the device again.

I have never tried this. But I don't think so, as the device only has its own speakers or headphones as output via the cinch socket. I tried connecting speakers via the cinch socket: only mono sound... The device has a great sound and is good for 1 room as an easy-to-use Internet radio. Super easy settings and you don't need a mobile to control it. Ideal radio for places with WIFI but no aerial reception (basement, craft room etc.). We are happy with the device as it fulfils our requirements for a radio in the workshop. Link to the operating instructions: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files...

Unfortunately, I don't know, because I didn't buy the device for this purpose. But you can certainly find out more about Philips, for example via this link: https://www.philips.ch/c-p... - there is talk of Bluetooth. Also the manual: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files... Hope you find the answer - Greetings

Unfortunately, I can't judge, but Philips has an instruction manual on its website, so maybe there's something in it. I'm sorry.

What does switch off mean? When I switch off the unit with the remote control, I think it goes into standby and the time remains visible. But you can't switch the unit off completely with a button, so a certain minimal power consumption remains. One weak point is the DAB antenna that comes with the set. I bought a better one separately (this is also related to how good the reception is in general), but otherwise the set is good and the price/performance ratio is right for me. Further information at: https://www.download.p4c.philips.com/files.... Greetings Bruno
