The drone does not work with Android tablets, as the Tello app for Android only supports smartphones and is not available for Android tablets. This excludes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite as a compatible device. The app requires Android 7.0 or higher, but is explicitly not available for Android tablets.

Helpful answer

The drone is controlled via an app on the mobile phone or tablet. A WiFi connection is established between the drone and the device with the app. Flying via the internet is not possible for the time being.

This could be due to the distance between the mobile device and the drone. With the Tello, the recording is done directly on the mobile device. If the connection to the drone becomes more unstable due to the distance, then the footage will suffer significantly. What about when you take pictures with the drone very close to you? Is the result better then?

A drone in this price range does not usually have a "coming home" function. When the connection goes, it actually takes off - and is usually carried away by the wind until an object stops it. Or the ground gets too close - or the battery runs out.

This should not happen, of course, possibly the compass is defective. A recalibration would help according to users in the DJI forum. Otherwise, a defect cannot be ruled out, in which case please contact our customer service at digitec@digitec.ch.

There are no mistakes. Never. On the opposite side of the charging port on the side of the drone is the power button. Press it briefly and it switches on. In case of connection problems, keep it pressed for longer. I think about 5 seconds... mine can't connect to the app... sniff... but switching it on and off as described above works... so. The power button is a small bump and barely visible on the other side of the charging case.if you hold the drone with 2 fingers you cover the button. Look closely. A slight bump, just like if you had covered the pod... hope this works...

This is a toy. It is suitable for "everyone", you can't break much, but you shouldn't expect anything from it either. The part is intended for windless places or the living room - photos and videos cannot be compared with other multicopters, the camera is more of a "nice to have". A rechargeable battery is included in the scope of delivery; it can be charged via USB using any 5V USB power supply unit or, in a pinch, directly on a PC. For more serious things, the Spark (with RC) is certainly the better choice. For a bit of fun flying, however, the Tello is the perfect choice.
