Yes, you can deactivate the automatic renewal in your Sony account at any time.
Unfortunately, we do not offer the new memberships for the PS. However, you are welcome to give away a Sony PlayStation Store Credit. You can use it to buy a membership online in the Playstore.

In fact, you can redeem it whenever you want, because it's a one-time code. For example, I redeemed the code 3 months later and it worked.
