Printer quite clearly 5 stars, price / performance there is nothing to complain about
Photo quality can keep up with all these direct photo print boxes (Mediamarkt, partly at train stations) loose
Lab quality I would not call it but the photos are good. For an album more than sufficient.
The price per photo is not bad either, about 0.35Fr per picture. Without purchase, without electricity, the 108 pack KP108IN, at Fuji.ch you pay for 10*15 depending on the quantity 0.19(from 500 pictures) to 0.29(up to 100 pictures).
My point of criticism is the usability. Canon has a great app with which you can send pictures to the printer via WiFi. I find quite good and wanted to use this.
BUT the app wants with all force the location of the phone what I do not want to allow, otherwise this does not work and schlisst again. Thus, for me failed.
Alternative: loads the app on apkmonk, version of 7.3.18, there is not the location request in it.

Handy device, versatile. For us the question was instant camera or photo printer.
Photo printer was clearly the right decision: flexible use, photos from mobile or camera or PC can be printed.

Great printer that delivers great outputs.
Initially bought to fill a souvenir photo album at a family party, today any snapshots are printed and hung on the pinboard.
Super easy to use with great quality.

Because of the 2000-character limit here, only my problems with WLAN and the print apps:
First, the printer did not find the WLAN AP. It was transmitting on channel 13, but the printer can only transmit on channels 1 to 11. If possible, you should exclude channels 12 and 13 from the automatic channel assignment or assign a channel manually.
Then the AP was found by the printer, but no connection was possible. After I changed the encryption in the AP from WPA2 to WPA/WPA2, a connection was possible. Now I have changed the setting back to WPA2 and it works.
Setting up the printer driver on the Windows 7 laptop went smoothly. I have no success with the Windows 10 laptop. During the printer installation, no printer accessible via WLAN is found. The USB cable connection works without any problems and the data transfer is much faster.
Connection via Android apps (as of 12/2017).
CanonPRINT Inkjet/SELPHY: This app is suitable for many Canon printers, which is why there are also pointless settings for the CP1300. You have to follow the instructions when you first start it and register the printer in the app. You can print via the "Share" icon, the app is not displayed via the "Print" dialogue! You can set whether to print borderless (i.e. fitted) or with a margin.
Canon Print Service App (a print service): It automatically recognises the printer, can be accessed via "Print" or "Share" and sends the image to the printer without any further settings.
Mopria app (a print service for many different printers): It did not find the CP1300 printer itself, I had to enter the IP address of the printer. You can find it under "WLAN settings -> Confirm settings -> IPv4 address". The only thing you can actually set is whether you want to print with a border or borderless.

Bought the printer for a wedding photo box.
The print quality and setup of the printer are great!
However, the speed is a little slow for a photo box. The printer takes about 40-60 seconds per image. It also looks strange when the picture comes out of the printer 3 times and is only finished on the 4th run.
The dye sublimation printer prints the 3 basic colours individually and a UV protective layer.

Funny gag for a party or to print a photo now and then. The set-up on the smartphone is very poorly solved and tedious and not always successful. When it does work, it prints the photos nicely, but is very slow.

The Canon Selphie is an excellent compromise between size and quality. Sure, the quality can't be compared to a professional ink photo printer, but the quality is really good and surprised me. In addition, the size is a real plus, it fits in any drawer or skirt bag. Operation is very easy - there are plenty of Youtube videos with start-up instructions in German. Connectivity via PC worked perfectly. Just connect it to your home WLAN and the printer is listed on your PC. It takes a bit of time to start printing (about 5-10 seconds) and then the printing is relatively fast, it prints the photo 4 times with the different colours and then it's ready and absolutely dry because it's a thermal print. All in all, a great investment for the price!

Extremely easy to use and first-class images. With rechargeable battery independent of mains power, can be ordered as an option. The battery lasts easily for 60 prints.

This is the first machine I have tried. I have to say that for an instant print it is a good device for the price. It is small and handy to take with you and the print quality is satisfactory (but the photo must be of good quality otherwise it looks very blurry).
However, there are a few things that bother me. The printed images are automatically centred on the format of the sheet and excess margins are omitted. You can't align it yourself. To get the pictures borderless, the sheets are double-layered and after printing you have to fold the photo at the top and bottom on a jagged line (similar to a sheet of stamps, but much finer) and tear off the background foil. In addition, the printer app does not find every picture folder on the mobile phone and you have to push the pictures around unnecessarily until the pictures are recognised by the app. Otherwise, it is easy to use and a great idea to distribute the souvenir pictures at a party, for example.

This is my Selphy 3. I am very happy with this printer. The photos are printed quickly and beautifully. They are also waterproof.

Replaced an older Epson inkjet printer with the Canon Selphy, which was a big mistake. The pictures look bland and have no brilliance. I had to return the first printer immediately because the printer was not found in the network (no IP received). After manually assigning an IP, I was able to print 1 photo, but then the printer was not accessible again. I lost hours with this. The second printer has exactly the same problem, there is no firmware update.
Otherwise, I am very convinced of Canon products (photography), which is why I did not doubt the quality when I bought this printer. However, this printer is absolutely disappointing and I am replacing it again with a larger inkjet printer.

I was already satisfied with my Selphy900.
Unfortunately it gave up the ghost after 5 years and 3500 photos. It paid for itself very well, I hope this device will last as long.

The operation is very simple and the connection to the WLAN is fast. Occasionally the printer hangs when receiving a file. Because it no longer responds, I have to unplug it.
The photos tend to be slightly cool blues, but are very sharp and have good resolution and are better than any inkjet photo printer.
Occasionally I have had a dark band about 1 cm from the right or left edge of the picture. I have since found that this can be avoided by shaking the paper cassette briefly when reloading so that the paper is exposed and making sure it is firmly seated when inserting it.

Solid printing solution with good image quality. The price per page is also quite ok compared to other manufacturers. There are no drivers for macOS, where you have to work with Airprint. Unfortunately, this is inefficient and error-prone for larger print jobs. Nevertheless, a clear buy recommendation

Does what it is supposed to. For years Canon has not really improved the Selphy printers.

Good price/performance ratio. Easy handling, paper and ink are in one set. Costs per photo (10x15) at approx. 30 centimes all inclusive. Limited mobility without battery (accessories) due to large power supply unit.

The Canon Selphy 1300 printer is really recommendable. The printers have been around for at least 10 years now and have been a permanent fixture in my home for several years.
Unfortunately, I think Canon is not really making progress. The printer makes great photos, uncomplicated and it is always a pleasure to share the photos with everyone or to start an album. Unfortunately, the printer is very slow, who prints via smartphone (WLAN) waits well times 2 minutes for a photo... are with 10 so quickly times 15-20min over. It's not the printing that's slow, but the job to the printer until printing starts that usually takes about 40-60 seconds.
The party mode with the collage is highly recommended, but has been possible for a long time with other photo editing apps. Another problem is that the photos are not automatically adapted to the printer format and are therefore sometimes cut unsightly.
But none of them is perfect and the Canon Selphy printer can really be used by everyone, whether by grandmother, children or visiting friends. Everyone loves it & our guestbook is fun for everyone. :-)
Top!
