Epson EcoTank ET-5150
Ink tank, Colour
Pleasing design. Paper output in center tray takes some getting used to for removal. Driver installation on PC with XP Home does not go (although it should go according to Epson).
The printer is cheap ! when you launch a print it is very noisy to load the paper and during printing it is noisy to eject the paper. The software at least in Mac is very poor. The browser version of the printer is a poor software at best (you can't even make a maintenance) and the display looks like that of an outdated printer. The app in OSY is useless. NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED!

Update January 2023:
- After almost every 10 sheets of paper jams on my printer (with Epson original paper), I have now found a tinkering solution for myself. Printed a holder with the 3D printer that lifts the cover of the last deflection roller (where the paper jam takes place) by approx. 5mm. 50 duplex sheets printed... no jam so far. Hope it holds.
-----
Since I've had the printer (not bought from Digitec), I've probably had 20 paper jams. Always at the front at the last reversal into the paper tray. The paper (80g from Epson (bought at Digitec ;-)) seems to be jammed here due to the front flap having a problem with the paper guide.
The rear sheet feeder for photo paper can practically only be used if the printer is accessible from the rear. If the printer is about 15 cm from the wall, as it is in my case, you can't insert the photo paper or you simply can't find the paper guide.
When I run the printer in normal mode and duplex, it is very fast, but also very annoyingly noisy, and I regularly get paper jams after a few sheets! At the moment, the printer only runs in "quiet mode" and only prints on one side.
All in all... incl. the scanner... A device that I would definitely not buy again!
PS. Runs under MAC and Windows. Doesn't matter about the paper jam. Happens with both systems

I bought the Epson ET5150 printer two years ago and was disappointed with the print quality from the start. Although the printer was advertised as powerful and reliable, it never lived up to these promises.
In addition to the poor print quality, the cost of purchasing the printer was also very high and definitely not worth the investment. What is even worse is that the printer needed its first repairs after only 900 pages. Of course, this was deliberately outside the warranty period, which forced me to bear further costs for the repair.
I am very disappointed with this printer and would not recommend it. If you are looking for a powerful and reliable printer, you should look elsewhere. The Epson ET5150 definitely did not deliver what it promised.
The printer is solid and easy to use. I use it on my home network. Am very satisfied, it prints, scans documents, and pictures on photo paper very well. When feeding from the paper is a little noisy. Still 5 stars - quality is right. The tanks to fill is very easy. Looks very nice in the room. A bit expensive, but later you save a lot by low printing costs.
