The best way to carry expensive equipment around

I purchased two of these to carry **A LOT** of equipment to shoot a documentary in 4 continents:

    — 2 A7Sii
    — 2 Manfrotto BeFree Live tripods
    — 2 Shogun Infernos
    — 1 Ronin M (with all the junk that comes with it)
    — Enough
    batteries to power everything
    — 6 SSDs for the Infernos
    — Multiple chargers to charge all the batteries
    — A bunch of lenses
    — Other random bits

I have to say that, despite the fact that they're heavy and they won't go into the cabin because they're big, these are fantastic suitcases not only because they keep your equipment cocooned but also because they look super normal — they really don't draw any attention to them. This is good because you want to have a super low profile while you're carrying around 40k worth of equipment.

There is no perfect solution to carry that much equipment and this one seems to be the less bad.

    Pro

    • Very "low profile"
    • You can turn it into a backpack
    • It has wheels!
    • It's roomy
    • It protects your equipment extremely well
    • It's sturdy

    Contra

    • It's heavy on it's own
    • It won't come with you in the cabin

Although a bit expensive, Lowepro manufactures its products with quality, so we'll see with use, but it's good to see!

I bought this product for my travels, but I took a model that was too big to put in the cabin (take the x200 or x100). I hesitated to send it back for an exchange, but finally I was able to store all my camera gear inside so I decided to keep it for my travels by train or by car.
The negative side is that it weighs 6 kgs when empty.

    Pro

    • Several storage possibilities
    • Solid
    • Room for long lenses,
    • Can be used as a backpack

    Contra

    • Its weight
    • No possibility to put it in 45° position to access the material
    • Its price...

    Impeccable

I think it's perfect: lots of storage space, the handle is very strong and the silent wheels hold well!

I would probably not buy it again

I expected more from Lowepro, the proportions and the exterior workmanship are excellent. However, I'm not thrilled with the interior, the workmanship of the partition system is unusable, very special way of making the partitions (doesn't work like that). I had to set it up myself to fit. In addition, the telescopic system of the handle is unstable and wobbly. I have had other Lowepro products and expected more?

    To be avoided

Not spacious enough, gets damaged quickly. Always falls forward.
