I've developed a love-hate relationship with this lens.
On the one hand, the images that can be made with it are phenomenal. Sharp, very little distortion and especially bright due to the f1.7 aperture.
The problem is: for really much the lens is not good to use. As soon as I set the camera to AFC, it tells me to switch to AFS. Yes indeed, with this lens you can't focus continuously. That combined with the fact that the focus is extremely slow (the kit lens is about 6 times faster on the G9) makes it unsuitable for still photography as well as filming.
At the same time, I wouldn't give it away because of the image quality and the tiny size.

Small, fine,... always with me. Fast light with very good image quality on my GX7. Very small and with just under 90g very light. The 20mm are just right! Unimagined possibilities to vary with the bokeh! The flash can stay at home. It needs rather times a ND filter ;)
I take most of my pictures with this lens now.

It's almost impossible to take a bad photo with it!
