Unfortunately, I have to say that the display of this product did not live up to my expectations. At first I was excited about the functions and the design, but after closer use it turned out that the display is not as perfect as I had hoped.
One major drawback is the brightness of the screen. At 220-250 nits, the display is simply too dark, not 300 cd/m² as stated here. This significantly impairs the user-friendliness and makes the device almost unusable in environments with a lot of light. I had hoped that the display would be easy to read under different conditions, but unfortunately this was not the case.
In addition, the viewing angle of the display is also disappointing. The colours and contrast deteriorate considerably if you are not looking directly at the screen from the front. This is particularly annoying as you can't always sit right in front of the screen.
Another problem is the uneven illumination of the display. There are areas that are brighter or darker than others, which affects the quality of image reproduction.

Replacing an ASUS USB only 14" screen with the Verbatim -- no way back, this is excellent, small, light in weight and offers all I need to work on the go...

The Steam Deck can be easily connected to the screen using the USB - C cable supplied and the charging adapter can be connected to the monitor to supply power to the screen and the Steam Deck.
The USB - A socket on the monitor can be used to connect another device such as a mouse / keyboard (USB HUB function)
Very handy monitor, perfect as an additional monitor to the laptop for travelling or as a diagnostic screen for devices with HDMI output.

I don't understand the negative comments (brightness etc). In my opinion, the monitor fulfils everything I expected. Great for working on the move when you need 2 monitors. The thing is super light and in my opinion bright enough.
