The utilization categories AC1 and AC3 for TeSys contactors define the power generation and disconnection values based on the type of load to be controlled and the operating cycle conditions.

• AC-3: Applies to squirrel cage motors that are braked during motor operation. Example applications: all squirrel cage motors, elevators, escalators, conveyors, bucket elevators, compressors, pumps, mixers, air conditioning systems.
