The modular safety system Sirius 3RK3 is a freely parameterizable modular safety relay. It is suitable for safety-oriented applications up to category 4 according to EN 954-1, power level e according to ISO 13849-1, or SIL 3 according to IEC 62061, depending on external circuit design. This modular safety relay enables the interconnection of several safety applications. The comprehensive fault and status diagnosis allows for identifying faults in the system and locating signals from sensors, resulting in shorter system downtimes.

The central base unit 3RK3 is used where more than three safety functions need to be analyzed, and where parameterization of the wiring of safety relays would be too time-consuming and costly. This safety relay receives inputs, controls outputs, and communicates with high-level controllers via an interface module. The entire security program of an application is processed in the central unit. At the lowest configuration level, the 3RK3 central basic unit functions without the expansion modules, which can be optionally connected.
