Product details
The 35 mm and 50 mm f/1.8 1.33 anamorphic lens has significantly changed the landscape for content creators and filmmakers. Previously, anamorphic lenses were primarily used for large films and extensive advertising campaigns. The anamorphic lenses from Sirui allow filmmakers to achieve high-quality results even on a limited budget. Sirui is now successfully launching another lens, the 24 mm f/2.8 1.33 x.
This lens expands the field of view by 1.33 times and captures more details on the sensor, resulting in a wide, cinematic image with an HD aspect ratio of 2.4:1. It creates a popular cinematography style that immerses the audience in the scene. The lens also produces an impressive blue hue and a poetic oval bokeh effect. Its optical construction consists of 13 elements in 10 groups, coated with nanoparticles, and the glass is manufactured in the renowned German Schott glassworks. Furthermore, the design minimizes distortions and the phenomenon of "breathing" (change in focal length during focusing), ensuring razor-sharp film quality.
When combined with an 18-element lens, it creates a diegetic oval bokeh effect, adding an extra dimension to the captured images. Due to the unique way light is distributed in an anamorphic lens, it produces blue light on a horizontal plane while reducing stray light and enhancing background effects. This compact and robust lens is made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, measures 126 mm in length, and weighs 780 g (with Sony E-Mount). The focus ring operates smoothly, allowing for a rotation range of 189.6 degrees.
