Sony

The first 800 mm super telephoto lens from Sony with breathtaking reach for nature and sports photography. With the optional teleconverters, the focal length can be extended to 1,600 mm to capture subjects in extraordinary detail and bring the action closer than ever before.

Six ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements ensure outstanding sharpness and reduce chromatic aberrations to ensure high-contrast, detailed images across the entire zoom range.

The precise autofocus (AF), driven by two linear motors, enables seamless subject tracking, ensuring sharp results even during high-speed action and continuous shooting at 120 frames per second.

Designed for portability and durability, the internal zoom mechanism keeps the centre of gravity stable for easy handling. Weatherproof design and fluorine coating for rugged reliability.

Customisable zoom speed for precise control and full compatibility with 120fps slow motion for cinematic video.

The FE 400-800 mm F6.3-8 G OSS from Sony offers unrivalled super telephoto reach, perfect for nature, sports and action shots. With the optional teleconverters, the focal length can be extended up to 1,600 mm, allowing you to capture distant subjects with exceptional detail and bring the action right to you. Lens type

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
