The USB-serial adapter adds a serial RS-232 DB/DE-9 (male) port to a desktop or laptop through a USB Type-A port. Attach the adapter to a serial device using the pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumb screws, or install the included DB-9 nuts for compatibility with other serial peripherals or cables.

The LED indicators for data transmission and reception on the adapter allow for real-time monitoring of connection activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully registered with the desktop or laptop. All LEDs assist in diagnostics and troubleshooting.

The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers are automatically installed for Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and higher, as well as Linux.
