Serial Expansion

The USB-to-serial adapter adds a serial RS-232 DB/DE-9 (male) port to a desktop or laptop computer via a Type A USB port. Attach the adapter to a serial device using the pre-installed and removable slotted D-sub thumb screws, or install the included DB-9 nuts to ensure compatibility with other serial devices or cables.

LED Indicators

The LED indicators for data transmission and reception on the adapter allow for real-time monitoring of connection activity. The USB LED indicates whether the adapter has been successfully connected to the desktop or laptop computer. All LEDs assist in diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Seamless Connectivity

The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers for Windows 7 and newer versions, as well as macOS 10.15 and newer, and Linux are automatically installed. The USB to RS-232 adapter features a COM retention function that automatically reassigns the COM port value when the cable is unplugged and reinserted or when the system is restarted.
