New version of HDMI High Speed with Ethernet, which offers additional features such as the HDMI Ethernet Channel. It adds a high-speed network to an HDMI link, allowing users to fully utilize their IP-enabled devices without a separate Ethernet cable. The Audio Return Channel enables an HDMI-connected television with a built-in tuner to send audio data "upstream" to a surround sound system, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable. 3D defines input/output protocols for the main 3D video formats.
